    Seems I can do it
At least what I programmed last night did get recorded...

BTW, Ant, I like the animated icons, the MURCer add-on (although, isn't that TM Motub?? ) and whatnot...

I have never understand why the Americans insist on displaying the dates in such illogical manner.

To further add to the confusion, this site uses the "-" as the delimiter... Should it not be "/"?

The "-" should be reserved for the international standard format of yyyy-mm-dd (which is not actually used anywhere, except among a bunch of SI freaks in Sweden).

In the ideal world, the software would look at the user's preferences for time display (and time zone) in the workstation...

I really prefer 1999.10.12, I think it's the only consistent method of addressing, going from broad to narrow perspective...

The other nice thing about yyyy-mm-dd is that dates sorted alphabetically are also sorted chronologically.

If only the Yanks would get their act together! Didn't they just lose an expensive interplanetary probe because someone used imperial coordinates rather than metric?

Let's face it, we're all confused somewhere.

Ant, sort it out! Get the system to show a nice friendly date such as "Tuesday 12th October 1999"

A brief weather report and some tv listings wouldn't go amiss either!!

Don't forget the actual and up to date traffic information around the globe and departure- and arrival times of airplanes

Why is it that everyone hates Americans, but as soon as our Coca Cola or "bloo-jeans" Are up for grabs they can't line up quick enough?

Don't pin that space probe deal on us yank peons over here. Thems was educated folks that did that.

If they would have used this formula as I suggested, they would be reviewing data as we speak.
