I didn't order from Necx.com, but I did order from Buycomp.com. I read Ant's posting about Matrox not supplying to online retailer's so I went to Buycomp.com website and found they had removed all Matox products . I became a little concerned since I've been waiting a couple months for my G400 MAX.
I called buycomp.com customer support to find out what is going on. I mentioned the word around the internet was Matrox wasn't supplying online retailers. Darlene, the very friendly and helpful customer support representative, called the Los Angelos Warehouse and talked to the Warehouse manager. It appears they will receive about 4,700 G400 MAXs (5,000 on backorder)next week. She also said that Matrox products were temporarily removed from the website due to the high number of backorders, and that Matrox is still supplying products to online retailers.
She did verify that I was one of the lucky people that have one of those 4,700 MAXs allotted. Hopefully with any luck, I'll be enjoying my new max in a couple weeks.
So anyone else who has ordered from buycomp.com, don't give up hope, just give them a call and insist they contact the warehouse to see if you will receive a board.
