The G200 smokes the TNT in image quality, unless you are colorblind and can't see very well anyways. The TNT at resolutions above 1024 are seriously defunct when comparing to a G200 or even a millenium for that matter.
Mole, My games seem to work best with AGP aperture at 64 MB
I purchased the 8mb upgrade from a fellow netizen and found it did very little. I run at 1280X1024 32bit. Games really dont give good fps above 800X600@32 or 1024X768@16 w/8mb or 16mb installed. Maybe because I cant get AGP2x keeps me searching.
My Powerslide v1.04 testing shows:
Track Res Bpp Avg.FPS
Dam 1024 16 38
Dam 800 32 32
Dam 1024 32 29
Dam 1280 16 25
Dam 1280 32 13
Still testing my card w/3dmark 99 (demo), will post after I have had enough of re-booting and re-installs of the 10 or so drivers that Matrox keeps spitting out. Ptui! I can see another one coming. Better stand downwind...
I thought with the increase from 8 to 16 meg you could enable triple buffering in most games and gain approx 10% icrease in speed.
(I haven't tried it myself)
But you can overclock a 16 meg card less.
I have a 8meg g200 clocked up 214 with gclk , I think if I added another 8 meg I would loose most of that gain
(ps have replaced heatsink with socket 7 fan heatsink combo)
