The problems I am having with constant freeze ups also happens when MS Office 2000's Assistant pops up. Just as soon as Clippit show's his little metallic butt, I'm headed for a hard reset. I WAS going to put my V3 back in, That was until I heard my baby girl tapping something on metal and saying "Can I play with this?", when I turned, she was WHACKING my precious V3 3000 on my wife's $35 yard sale SKY GLIDER. Not one to buy another video card, I had to resort to putting my G400 back in. As I've posted before, most of my freezes were resolved by using a 32bpp color depth. But Clippit has the will to overcome such trivial things. PLEASE, no posts concerning IRQ's, Old drivers, or other versions of drivers. ALL drivers for the G400 do it. NO IRQ's are being shared by the G400. I've done all that a 12 year vet can. 17 if I count the Commodore 64 I had at 13. This one is in Matrox's court.
