  • G400 DH , I want to commit suicide

Like hundreds others I too have a screen lockup and after that a complete win98 crash. Garbled screen /gray/ colored lines and total crash.

Already tried everything , new drivers for everything, No conflicting IRQ .

This is a serious problem, I bought this card for working purposes, I expect it to work !!!

Now I'm wasting my time on trying to figure out how to get rid of this problem.

I saw that multiple solutions are suggested, what wich one is the good one.

    HEELLLPPP
    :-(

BTW what is the right setting for aperture size? and what is it ?

Don't worry about the aperture size for the moment. As stated if you have an AMD system make sure you have the latest drivers for the chipset of your motherboard...

It would help if you would supply us with some system specs.

Hmm ... so you are overclocking your Celeron from 333MHz to 416MHz, right?

So your AGP bus speed is not correct, and it could be running at 83MHz instead of the correct 66MHz.

I think that this could be cause of your problems.

Download RedHach and try to force your AGPX1

Excuse Space7's English, but he means The RegHacks... he wasn't implying you ought to d/l Linux (RedHat)

And where to find these RegHacks? Here somewhere

                      I use Live ware 2.1

and I already put it back on the default 333 Mhz speed , but the probs are still there.

But anyhow I'll try to change the AGP to 1X
Altough I'm wondering how it will affect my game speed.

You will not notice any difference when running 1X instead of 2X.
