I don't know which country you're from, so
I don't know your TV-standard (PAL or NTSC).
I just got my MAX this Friday and I
was also having the Macrovision 'blinking'.
My solution for copying DVDs to VHS tapes:
I still have a Macrovision-copy-remover,ie
a little box you usually plug between 2 VCRs
to get rid of Macrovosion when copying lent
tapes, here at home.....
I plugged this between the MAX's TV-out and
my Sony VCR's Line-in, and, voilĂ , no
Macrovision anymore
These copy removers are sometimes called 'video-stabilisators' or something
similar, just look at your local electronics store and ask their personnel. These boxes shouldn't be too expensive.
I've noticed something weird with the DVD MAX feature though: While on the monitor, there are no dropped frames, on my VCR there's some 'hiccoughing' at the same time.
