  • G200 and Windows2000 - resolution and bpp problem

Hi, having G-200 Millenium and Windows2000 b. 2151, i encouter the following problem. Every time i boot the computer, windows are getting 640x480/16 colors, but after going to control panel-monitor preferences and after i click in the resolution window just apply - it switches to some HiColor 1152x864 or whatever i want. After rebooting - the very same, 640x480/16 colors When I run dxdiag.exe aplication, and run D3D tests which are using full screen mode(640x480/16bpp), i get following message:

Anyone knows what may be wrong ?

    Thanx

I have had 2128 aka RC2, too, and it was without problems. But then, I several time ran NT4, and upgraded to W2k 2151, then the problems begun. Even installed on a clean system (w/ reformatting all drives) I got the same result, even with build 2114 (!). So I suggest there may be a HW problem. During reboot, the PnP BIOS assignes IRQ11 to G200, but W2k do not show any interrupt in the device properties tab, may this be the problem ?

    Thanx

Michal, I'm running Win2K checked build 2128 with no problems what-so-ever. Have you done anything out of the ordinary since you installed Win2K?
Look, I know you think the world of me, that's understandable, you're only human, but it's not nice to call somebody "Vain"!
