    Mate,
Start first by changing the position of you PCI cards (tip:as far as possible from the AGP slot....specially the possition of you Audio card so it gets IRQ 5...my SBLive! uses exactly the 5 and 9 IRQ ).
Also loading the defaults of your BIOS is a good idea

        hmm... thanks for ur suggestions...
but actually... that smc ez nic has been at irq 10 before i switch it's location. The sound card is already at the last pci slot away from the agp slot.

Everything's working... so should i not change anything? or should i try to fix it before it crashes?

              I'd say:

Don't fix what's not broke! You might wind up with something that looks okay on paper, but won't work any more. (ARGH!)

Oh, I think everettes wins. I've never seen anything quite like that.

But it works, and after much gnashing of teeth.

hmm... yes.. that is strange... sound blaster w/ g400 and someother stuff...

but my setup just messed up on me unfortunately... my sound card drivers magically uninstalled themselves... any ideas?

how do i change irq settings? I tried to do so in system settings, but it said that the configuration can't be changed. For the IRQ at least...

After deciding to go back to Win2000, I'm now stuck with playing UT in SOFTWARE mode with rez set at 300xsomething and a WHOPPING 30 fps. GOD I NEED THOSE BETA'S. I just got tired of PhotoShop in Win98. PLEASE E-MAIL ME SOME DRIVERS GUYS. Software mode? Have PITY. And after chomping at the bit for two weeks just to get the G400 to work! Don't I deserve them. I've even had to suffer the humiliation of having the WORST configuration in the thread.

Good guys finish last! I even have LEGAL Win2000 beta's and RC's. There MINE, and MS will confirm.
