I am running Win '98 on a PIII 600, SB Live Value, G400Max configuration. I use an HP Lj 3100 printer, or at least I attempt to.
Any printing from the Internet and many graphics prints (e.g. from Printmaster card program) are rendered illegible by vertical lines and rectangular white dropouts. Sometimes print is switched from black to white as well.
Changing to a standard Windows Display driver seems to fix the problem.
Matrox support says it's a known issue. Anyone else encounter it and have any workarounds? Or know when it is to be addressed (Matrox support says they have no idea)? Or know what resources the printer and display are contending for ?
