That's part of my point. I've NEVER had to go searching for help with a Tyan or Intel board. The only thing I've ever needed was the current Bios files (which I keep on disc). With these boards you can bet 99.9% of the time if your having problems it's something other than your mainboard.
It's funny that people take things so personally, like who made their mainboard. That's why I expect flames. At tech briefings and shows we express opinions all day and no one gets mad. Post here and some act like you just slapped their kid! lol
I'm not molesting anyone's mother! Just talking about opinion's on manufacturers.
Most people that have problems on Intel sites are trying to find Info on specialty OEM boards like those made UNIQUELY for Dell, Gateway, Sony and the likes, which Intel doesn't support. That's the OEM's support problem not Intel's.
Go to Intel and hit the support button and it can't be easier. Even the NG's for Intel are filled with stuff that 80% has nothing to do with a bad Intel Product. Like "Why does Windows show PII instead of PIII?"
Go there and take a peek.
Keep in mind this is a light-hearted post. Just pointing out a few observations of forum life. Don't get personal, and no one else will.
