    Yes,
I hope you have a set of good speakers so you can use it. The better the speakers, the better the sound with the SBLIVE.

Well it's install time, my speakers are good Yamaha M-15 with Yamaha Sub-woofer, but I was referring to all the conflicts I've heard of between the G400 and a Live...

Maniac, be sure to install the *latest* drivers, right from the start. Stay away from that CD. (I hope I'm not too late.)

        Good luck.

The SB Live! Value is a good card. I've got one in my main gaming machine. I've downloaded the LiveWare 3.0 drivers from Creative, and they are working OK.

However, make sure that you do not have a line in your autoexec.bat such as "SET TMP=D:\TMP". I set TEMP and TMP environment variables to my secondary hard disk partition so that I can minimize the fragmentation on my bootup partition. Unfortunately, LiveWare3 halfway uses the TMP env variable. It extracts some of the files there, but the installer never starts. If you do not set "TMP", it defaults to C:\Windows\Temp, and LiveWare3 will install correctly.

I would say that it is a step in the right direction. LiveWare2.X completely ignored my TMP environment variable. Now if Creative could only fully correctly use the TMP variable.

Oh, yeah, make sure that you have your speakers arranged with a good sweet spot and the sound will be fantastic.

Thanks guys! All's well, the install went off without a hitch. Got the latest Liveware first and bingo. That new digital output connector should come in handy!
