G400 DualHead Zoom HW limitation???

WHen i use Zoom feature of my G400DH, i noticed that Zoom is only proportioned (4x3) like monitor or TV, U can't Zoom an area ex. 100x400 pixel (with H/V interpolation).

This is an hardware limitation or is only a driver one???

Based on my experience and experimentation with the DualHead DVDMax feature, I'm almost 100% sure it's only a driver limitation. Perhaps you could submit a feature request to Matrox to have your desired functionality added.

I'm curious: Why would you want to zoom an a region like 100x400, anyway? If you did, it would have to either be stretched horizontally or have very wide "letterbox" bars added to to each side. Which one did you have in mind, and why?

I use a lot of emulators that doesn't have 4x3 proportions.
Example, Gameboy, Callus, SNES...

So if i can zoom an arbitrary area like 256x224 (SNES) or 160x140 (Gameboy) i can see my emulator in fullscreen on my TV.
