It's funny that it is sponsored by Intel, and the FAQ has suggestions on how to make it run fast enough on Pentium III 700. The formula seems to be: write a sluggish application = get sponsorsip $$$ from Intel.

It's kind of like saying "You've got a dog of an app on your hands. But if you buy a Pentium III 733, it will perform acceptably."

So here is an idea for Matrox: turn the sluggishness of pre-G400 cards in 3D into a feature, obtain Intel sponsorship.

It works fine enough in my celery 450. It´s fun to look, but I don´t think the dancers´ movements are that well synchronized with the beat.

Very cool little thing. Thanks for the link Maggi. These dancers don't seem to groove to the tunes though, even though it seems to run fine on my machine. I guess Danzig, Ministry, and the Blue Oyster Cult just ain't good dancin tunes.

LOL ... no headbanging yet ...

Anyway, maybe they are ON groove on my machine, because I lowered the PCI latency from default 32 to 16 ... all other plugins also benefit from that and have better timing.

I think it's a matter of setup to get 'em dance properly and they are cool on my Celery, so there's no need for a P3.

Btw, try 'em with groovy dance music like Jamiroquai or someone similar.

Anybody with a K7 out there who couls give feedback ?

OK, I can now use Winamp without sacrificing sound quality. There's an input plugin that let's one use stardust (sonique's mp3 decoder engine) with winamp. I just hope this system (not mine) can handle those grafix.
Let's just say it has a PCCHIPS mobo and leave it at that (TXPROII) aaarrrggghhhh.
