  • Reassigning IRQ's on Phoenix Bios

My G400 and onboard AudioPCI share the same IRQ (10). I need to reassign either to an open IRQ (currently, 11).

Can't seem to get it set via the BIOS. Also, under Win98SE, both are locked as to the "properties".

Any suggestions as to how to move one to IRQ 11?

For PCI devices, you cannot really assign an IRQ in the BIOS. The way bus mastering and IRQ sharing works, changing the IRQ in the BIOS will often result in _both_ cards changing to the new IRQ. Yuck.
The best thing to do is to move your PCI device that is conflicting to subsequently different PCI slots until you find a config that doesn't conflict.

Unfortunately, the AudioPCI is hardwired onto the mobo. Any thoughts?
