IS IT TRUE THAT G400 MAX AND P2B NOT WORKS FINE TOGHETER?

I have a P2B-F (Award BIOS) and it works very well with my Max. But I *did* have to download the latest AGP driver from the Asus website (I can't remember the link now). Also I set the AGP aperature to 256 Mb and set the Max on its own IRQ, but these last two only enhanced performance. With the stock AGP driver, the system crashed as soon as the Windows 98 desktop came up.

I'm currently running my G400 Max with the Asus P2B-F AND the SB Live. They're both known(rumored) to cause problems with the G400 Max and I'm running my system fine. (with a few tweaks of course :P) This is, by far, the best image quality card you moola can buy (and D3D)

Regarding the AGP patch...is it safe to assume 'if it aint broke don't fix it'?
Unless we're talking performance gains, that a whole different story

If I'm not mistaken, the AGP patch is only needed for Win98. No need for it on Win 98.

Just a guess here Borg, but I bet he meant that it's only needed for Win95, not Win 98.

Sorry for the screw up, I meant to say that the AGP patch is for Win95. Take a look at the CD-ROM that came with the ASUS moboard.
