First off, my apologies for dual posting to here and under the PowerDesk forum. Just kinda looking for a possible answer/solution/input
I recently discovered a problem w/ drivers 5.2* and 5.3* and Symantec Talkworks Pro. Specifically, Talkworks includes some customized fax cover sheets. With drivers 5.2 and 5.3, the "fill-in" areas don't... i.e when I enter in the name and fax number, these don't get filled in to the fax cover sheet.
I turned down the graphics accelleration in system properties, and that solved the problem. I also gave driver ver. 5.1* a try, and these don't have a problem w/ the software.
Symantec tech support indicated that they have the most problems w/ Matrox drivers of any video card.
Hopefully, Haig and others from Matrox will see this and understand and be able to address the issues. Until then, I'm going back to ver. 5.1.
Hopefully, this is an issue that can be resolved. I really like the G400 (best image quality, bar none!), however as I'm using my system more and more for business, I need components that'll work together. Having video card drivers that don't work with "mission critical" software doesn't cut it.
