What kind of fan are on you guys' G400 MAX? Mine looks like some kind of cheap crap fan instead of AVVID which is shown in most pictures online. The AVVID kind has more blades and larger center motor, but the one on mine has fewer blades (about 7, my computer is running, can't tell right now) w/ smaller center motor.

Hi Chiuang!
For all kind of cooling use a "PAPST"!!
This is a fan wich makes 5000 u\min and it is extremely lownoise. Sorry for my english i know it isn't the best.

Durango- There is no such thing as an OEM MAX. Only retail on that one.
chihuang- Matrox changed fans a few months into production, from a metal bladed fan to a plastic bladed one (should still be by avvid I think). The metal bladed models ended up drawing too much current for some older mobos to handle...Core2 Duo E7500 2.93, Asus P5Q Pro Turbo, 4gig 1066 DDR2, 1gig Asus ENGTS250, SB X-Fi Gamer ,WD Caviar Black 1tb, Plextor PX-880SA, Dual Samsung 2494s

hey kruzin,
that's what I was getting at, I was worried someone sold him one of those g400's that failed as maxes, stuck a fan on it, and told him it was a max

Thanks Kruzin! But they should've put a sticker which says AVVID onto the fan....or the fan actually looks cheaper than the one I put on my G200.......
But would the performace of these fans not as good as the old metal ones?
Mine is bought directly from MATROX's online store (F**KING expensive!!!$!#%......but couldn't resist a G400 MAX...
I want the T&L in my G400!
