  • G200 Marvel

Would a G200 Marvel be a nice upgrade for an AMD k6-2 300 system for doing video editing and occacional game play. especially if i could get it for cheap ($50). I know they have pretty pathetic OpenGL performance, but how is the TV tuner and Video Capture on it?
I would just get a RR+ for my G400 MAX, but its just too much damn money. Thanx all

I would not give up the MAX for a G200 Marvel. A G400 Marvel maybe. I'd start stashing money away, and get the RR-G in a month or two or three....

Don't know how heavily you are into Video Capture, or if you are just getting started, but for $50??? Not bad just for a try.

I read (in between the lines) that this is for another machine, not the one in your profile, right?

I haven't gone the G400 route, and probably won't--(Not into gaming) but for the home user with no serious power needs, and for $50, you aint gonna be too sorry.

I've seen the bundled software whined about a lot on these forums, but hey, to work on a few home videos, and play around, you can't go too far wrong for the price.

In my experience, (still limited) the TV and capture performance are fine. Don't like it, send it to me, and I'll slap it in my wife's machine
