Bad news from Matrox Tech support

I asked them if turbogl would ever be used on k6-2 and k6-3 systems, here is what I got in response. :

Sehr geehrter Kunde / Dear customer,

3dnow support is included in the latest driver, but turbo opengl will never run with AMD K6-x series.

Hi I just ordered this card and my system is a K6-2 450 128 megs of sdram, and a FIC pa-2013 rev 2.0 motherboard. I have a few questions. Do the 5.30 drivers currently have 3dnow support in them and is more planned in future drivers? Also I understand that turbogl is only optimized for p3 and athlon systems will there be an optimized version of opegl or turbogl for the K6-X series of processors? Jedi, I think you're in luck. The person who giggled at their response is a Matrox beta tester, who has access to drivers before mere mortal men, and the person directly below him, who indicated that Tech Support in Europe probably misunderstood you, is the head of Matrox Tech Support.

So I think it is safe to assume that your wishes will come true.

Haig or anyone could you give me the low down on the best way to get my G400 32 meg agp(non max) up and running with my current system? The card comes in tommorow. K6-2 450 128 megs pc100 sdram, FIC PA-2013 Rev 2.0, CTX VL710 17" monitor, Win98 (not SE version), and alot of other periphs haha Any help would be umm....helpful Jediphoenix
