    My, My.. Look at all the Padlocks in here.

    Feels a bit oppressive, dear.. don't you think? Perhaps you could ease up a little and let people stray if they are so inclined, as long as they are not being offensive. Just a friendly observation.

    I agree that somebody is getting carried away here.

    For example, http://forums.murc.ws/ubb/Forum5/HTML/006239.html should not have been locked. Just because the user owns a Marvel does not mean it has to be in the DTV forum. The thread was getting a reasonable response where it was, as a 16meg Marvel and a 16meg Millennium are basically the same is such a conversation. Not everyone participating there was a Marvel owner. It was fine in the Matrox Hardware forum.

    I hope this forum does not degrade to the level of censorship that none of us want here...

      I think a kind word to take it to the other forums is enough, but please allow people to respond if they so desire. Most people come here to ask their questions because they see that this one is the most visted. I know it's always the first one I come to. I don't know about the rest of you but I personally don't always have time to go to all the forums.

          Why is keeping things in order oppressive? And why the hell is that censorship? Maybe some of you don't have the time to go to all the other forums to answer peoples questions, nobody is asking you to, but a DTV thread is more likely to get a suitable response in the DTV forum, transferring a thread there for that reason is not censorship and it is not oppressive. The thread has not been closed and its clearly indicated to the original poster where the thread is alive and well. Get a grip will you this is a discussion forum. If you think I am getting carried away then so be it, I am the one that admins these forums and has to spend the time keeping them in order.

          Oh look I've now gone and closed this thread and transferred it to the Soap Box
