Will overclocking the CPU overclock the G400 max too?

Currently I use 115% for my MAX. It's running smoothly without any problem.
Once I have overclocked my MAX to 160%, but I think the card can't handle this high O/C. The result is: my screen goes blank and refused to back into its previous condition.
