Greetings from the Desktop Video forum!
I put this question to the guys in "Matrox Gaming," but to no avail so far. I figure I might as well try you guys.
When running anything DirectDraw or Direct3D, it runs much faster in a maximized window on my normal desktop (1024x768x16) than in "fullscreen" mode (640x480x16). Something tells me that's not right... shouldn't it be faster in fullscreen mode at least because it's a smaller surface? Not to mention DirectDraw is supposed to have an easier time without dealing with GDI.
DirectX 6.?, Marvel G200-TV PCI,
PowerDesk 5.30, latest BIOS,
PIII 550 MHz, no other problems whatsoever
This happened on my old machine (P150), too. ???
Thanks,
fluggo99
