More probs with G400 and new Win2k driver
I have a G400 MAX. I updated from the alpha to the beta Win2k drivers and it seemed to install just fine. However, when I rebooted, I was in 640x480x16 and couldn't change to any other resolution. When I tried to change, I got an "unexpected error". Switching back to the alpha drivers "fixed" the problem. Anyone else have this problem or suggestions on how to resolve it?
FWIW, the G400 was sharing an IRQ with a SB Live. I moved the SB Live so the G400 is all alone on IRQ 11. When I reinstalled the new drivers, I got all kinds of errors in the desktop control panel applet. Couldn't even attempt to change resolutions from VGA. Again, reinstalling the alpha drivers brought me back to life.
It just occured to me I could try to install the beta drivers, then copy the alpha g400.* on top of the new ones. Any idea what (positive) effect this might have?
