Hitachi CM751 & G400 Max + Win2k Pro RC3 = sucky refresh rates

I used to be able to get 99hz refresh with 32-bit color (True Color) at 1152x864 pixels under Win98 SE.

Now with the new Win2k driver I cannot get anything above 75hz (which after awhile sorta hurts my eyes). When does Matrox plan on adding the "Custom Monitor" tab to Matrox Powerdesk?

This could have changed from RC2 to RC3, but probably not:

Go to Display Properties>Settings>Advanced>Monitor (I think). This is the Windows monitor tab, not Matrox's. There should be a check-off box that says something like "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display." If you uncheck it, you should be given a bunch of other settings, some of which, I suspect, are trouble, so be careful.

I did uncheck that. The problem is that this version of Powerdesk in the Win2k beta driver does not have the 'Custom Monitor' settings tab, which I used in Win98 to get the super high refresh rates.

I'm having same problems with CM752 and G400MAX. Not quite though... I'm sucessfully running 1280x1024x32bit at 85Hz cause it is one of the options in the Monitor properties. But for 1600x1200 I can't choose anything above 75Hz, cause the next one is 85Hz and my monitor supports only upto 81Hz. This makes 1600x1200 unusable...

I was REALLY hoping to see monitor customization in the Win2k drivers, but I guess it's not there yet... how difficult could it be to add a switch for customized refresh rate instead of hard wired 75Hz and 85Hz.
