FYI--minidiag
Hi:
After wrangling with my g200 for months over various issues(gaming and lock-ups in 2d apps), I was finally pointed in the right direction by a matrox tech. He sent me a little utility called minidiag which runs some board-level tests from dos. I determined that some of the memory on the card was bad, I have rma'd and now have a new card which checks out fine. If anyone out there is having unexplainable lock-ups, crashes or other weirdness this may be the ticket for you. I have both a version for the g200 and one for the g400 and would be happy to send them e-mail, or maybe one of the moderators could put them in the utilities section.
I tried everything you guys have talked about on this newsgroup and it just turned out to be a simple hardware problem.
The g200 has some of the best 2-d image quality I have seen and it is really nice to have it work correctly.
