  • What's the difference??

Hi! I would like to ask that whats the difference between Z-buffering and triple buffer were ON?

Now I use the registry to hack and put the triple buffer in the ON position, but I cannot see any difference, futermore I suffer from crashes when playing games.

Also I'm still suffering from the restart and shutdown problems in the win98se.
I posted days before and tried all the solutions that u guys gave me but still doesn't help.

Evertime when I remove POWERDESK from my windows, the system works well. After installing it ( no matter 5.30 or 5.4) back to windows problems come out again.

I'd UNinstalled the fast shutdown patch from the windows update, so that I can DISABLE in the fast shutdown option but it still not giving any help............
can anybody help me with this........ thanks.

    (p.S. I'd even reinstall win98se, but it won't help.)

if you have 8mbyte g200 don't enable triple buffering. you need 16 meg card for it to work. But if you have 16 meg or more you should get an improvement in speed
(2 extra back buffer for drawing next frame, instead of 1)

z buffer, you might mean 32 bit zbuffer as opposed to 16 bit (32 bit gives better more acurate display(3d only), at cost od speed)

Note that there's zero improvement in speed with triple buffering if V-sync is off.
