My 1 month old G400 MAX has gone dead. So far it worked fine, but
suddenly, while launching a game of Half-life my computer crashed. Just
before the crash I had changed from use dualhead for DVDmax in matrox
display properties to dualhead disabled. After switching power off and
on the system started beeping: 1 long and 3 short (the harddisks sounded like they loaded the OS) and the screen was dead. I believe this
error-beep means that there is something wrong with the card. I opened
the case and assured that the card was correctly seated in the AGP slot.
No improvement. I waited for 15 minutes and tried again. Still nothing.
Then I plugged in my old g200, which booted all fine, installed the
drivers and here I am writing this post.
I tried flushing the bios on my aopen ax6bc.
Suggestions?
Sincerely
Tor Bechmann
