G400+WinNT sp5 = no OGL

I have been trying for the past 2 weeks to get any kind of opengl support for my g400 max to no avail. Is there something I am missing, I have treid every monitor/resolution/color setting under the sun, but every tie I try to run something in the GL the program freezes, or the game doesn't detect in the first place.
