  • Problems w/ LAN!

    When playing games over my LAN i get horrable stuttering and hanging. It starts fine but quikly becomes unplayable. Im on my second motherbaord and second lan card now. Game include viper racing and Q3

    please help

    Pfff could be about anything...If it's just games and you dont have problems with 'normal' Lan use it's most likely the software you are running (Can your q3 server really handle it's job?)

    If it's not just games it could be caused by a lot of different things From software to bad cables/hubs and interference.

    Did you get rid of any protocols you don't use? Try throwing them all away except tcp/ip (or any other you do use). Got any electricity cables next to youre utp-cable which may cause interference?

    You can use the software that came with your network cards to check if there is any packetloss. (Probably some dos proggy)
