  • REALMagic Hollywood Card

Hey, just thought of a new question. Does the G400 MAX have any problems running with a REALMagic DVD decoder? I took mine out cause I wasn't sure what was causing troubles for me (in case you didn't see my threads, there is a conflict between my mobo and bus-mastering) and haven't reinstalled it. I was wondering if anyone else has had troubles with this card. Thanks for your help

    Dimitri

I figure you guys just have single head versions? My G400 DH, Athlon 700mhz & SB Live
      are providing excellent Picture performance
and average motion fluidity. I had an All-In-Wonder before and the TV-out picture was less than good but the Hardware Motion compensation really gave super fluid movements at all times. Sometime With G400 DVD Max you can see the slightest little jerkiness. Not enough to detract from the viewing pleasure but it is there. The only reason I'm happy is the Picture/Color quality is the best I have seen so far from a Graphics adapter with TV out on my Panasonic Gaoo TV
which just loves the Matrox 1078 x 968 down sampled to it's native 800 lines resolution.
Nice JOB Matrox! Now get some real hardware motion compenstion in your next Chip and everthing will be top of the line.

That's good to hear... That means all I need to do is find the drivers. Uhh, I can't use my MAX to run DVD's cause I only have a K6-300 so pretty much everything is a little bit choppy. That's ok though, new system coming up...

          Thanks for the info

Thanks. I had tried going there about a week ago and I think their site was down (or at least I couldn't get into it). Works this time.

Thanks everyone. It's up and running perfectly. All is good now.... I probably should have waited til my finals are over before I installed it, but oh well....
