Will G400 Marvel work in AGP 1X port

I am thinking of buying G400 Marvel which is stated as being AGP 2X/4X compatible. Will it work in a PC with only a 1X port?

That will depend on the Motherboard. Many of the first gen AGP boards cannot supply enough current for modern AGP cards.

And if it's that old a motherboard, it's probably only 66MHZ, and a slow processor. You would most likely be better off upgrading those parts first.
