Can I use 530 drivers with new TurboGl?

I want to use the old 530 drivers instead of the 541... can I do that and still keep my new TurboGL?

p3-500, 128mb, g400max, wd hd, promise, 3com

it is stated in the release notes that TGl will work with any drivers that are 5.3x and up.
