  • AGP speed

These may be simple questions, but I would be grateful for any advice

    1) How can you tell if you are running at AGPx1 or AGPx2

    2) How can you change it

    I have the following setup(s)

    PIII500 with 128MB on a AbitBE6

    I have 2 machines one with a G200 and 1 with a G400.

    Thanks

    Matthew

You can go to the MURC Utility downloads and get PCIlist. It will tell you all kinds of neat information about the PCI and AGP buses, including AGP 1X or 2X.

To force an AGP mode, you can get the PD 5 registry hacks from MURC utility downloads. There is a forceagp1x.reg and a forceagp2x.reg.
