Well I have to say that I am a Matrox fan now
Back when I originally bought my system it came with a K6-2 300 and a Matrox G200 8 meg agp (when they first came out and had all the ss7 problems) and i wanted to crucify that thing hehe (not necessarily matroxs fault, half-n-half i guess) Then I upgraded to a K6-2 450 and a G400 32 SH oem and am thoroughly impressed. Of course being CPU limited as far as the K6-2 450 is concerned I had to fight back the FPS demons..NO DAMMIT I DONT NEED TO GO ANY FASTER ARGH!@!!!
But then after gaining control of my technolust I started to notice how much more vibrant my 2D screens and 3D games were and how nice my games were playing compared to my previous card a Viper 550 agp 16 meg. Granted I dont have a P3 or Athlon to really push the g400 (maybe someday
) but im not worried. I sure the upcoming Dx7 optimized g400 drivers will help my K6-2 450 out a little
. I just wanted to thank all of you who have answered my various questions and I hope that I have in the past and will in the future be able to help you in turn
