Zoran SoftDVD Patch
Matrox have released a patch (2.9MB) for their version of Zoran's SoftDVD player that shipped with the G400s to update it to version 1.03.

Release notes for Zoran softdvd player patch ver. 2540_103

1- This patch will update versions 2523_207 and 2523_205 to version 2540_103 of the Zoran softdvd player.

2- To use this patch you will first need to install 4.XX.XXX series display drivers on your system. These drivers are included on your original installation CD. Next you will need to install version 2523_205 or 2523_207 of the zoran software. The patch can then be installed. Next you can also install the 5.25.019 display drivers available on the Matrox website, although this is not necessary.

3- Subtitling problems have been fixed

4- Fixes problems with region detection. Also corrects problem with Matrox 5.XX.XXX series display drivers, where region is automatically set to 2 when 5.XX.XXX drivers are installed.

5- There will be no AMD support with this patch.

Zoran never came with the G400.

This is for the G200 Zoran software only version. It does not work with the hardware DVD module's player...

What about an update for the DVDMAX softDecoder from my G400MAX

I tried running that patch on my G200 mystique with the DVD module and I got an error message saying I didn't have the correct version of Zoran SoftDVD. Well I do because I checked. I just wondering if anyone else has had problems and if they fixed them.

No, you don't.
Re-read my last post.
This patch IS NOT for the hardware module version of the software.
It is ONLY for the software only decoder.
