Problem with Win DVD 2000 TV-out on G400

I recently installed windvd 2000 and on my computer monitor it works beautifully. However, when I enable DVDMax on my G400 and use the video-out, I get corruption on the bottom quarter of my TV screen. It is usually a green bar which sometimes flickers pink. I then tried to use just desktop clone and play it off my desktop to the tv, but windvd freezes and refuses to play unless I have dvdmax enabled. BTW, I never had this problem with the cinemaster decoder.

I'm using region 1 dvd's on ntsc tv, and the cable is running straight into the set.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Anyone have windvd 2000 running properly to a tv via dvdmax?
