  • Abit BE6-II vs Millennium G400 MAX - solution!!!

    Problem solved!
I changed the SDRAM Leadoff Command from '3', which is the default, to '4'!
Now the system is running great at the speed of 603 MHz! Note that I'm still running in AGP 2x mode!

Too bad nobody knows what you are talking about.

    Three posts.
    Three theads.

Wouldn't it make more sense to keep then together in ONE thread, plus help cut down the congestion of these forums by eliminating needless threads??

What's the big deal? So what if I didn't keep it together?! I think most of the users around here are perfectly capable to read the messages anyway and still understand!
But ok... I'm sorry! I'll make sure it won't happen again! But still! I found a solution to the problem! Ya have to give me some credit!

        The big deal is this:

These forums are very busy. Excess threads just give everyone more stuff to wade through. And with this many threads, it is rather annoying to enter a thread like this that doesn't offer anything to the reader.

But more importantly, these individual threads are now completely useless. All anyone can tell from this thread is that you had some undefined problem, and you fixed it. Nobody knows what that problem was, so your solution is not going to help anyone. And if someone comes across the original thread, they will not know you solved the problem (since you didn't bother saying anything in that thread), and may waste their time trying to give you suggestions (this already has happened with your original thread)

Doesn't this make sense to you at all?
Instead of one thread, where the problem was defined and solved, you have these disconnected threads that don't do anyone any good. I doubt many people are going to take the time to search for your other threads on this topic to try and connect the dots. Basically, you've wasted your time posting, and ours reading.

I dunno....just seems like common sense to me....

        Happy holidays

          Bandit's original Post:

I just installed the Abit BE6-II.
I'm using a P3 600B CPU wich requires a 133 MHz FSB tu run in 600. When I set the FSB to 133, the Windows-graphics get all messed up and sometimes it locks up. I'm using a G400 Millennium MAX. If i run in the FSB at 112, everything works fine. I used to run on a AOpen AX6B (I had to change due to another problem with Adaptec 2930CU) and then there was no problem running the FSB at 133.
Have anyone else experienced the same problem?
