  • Problem with my Matrox G400 MAX

I finally got one, and know it don't install properly!

Right Here's the Problem, I follow what the manual says, and I get to the point where you have installed the Standard PCI Graphics card and restarted the PC, then you run the installation from the CD to install the rest of the Matrox Stuff, but when the powerdesk trys to install It doesn't detect my Matrox Card, so i can't install the Matrox. This is begining to annoy me, I have the Lastest DirectX plus I have the Latest AGP Driver for the ALI motherboard

(im running a AMD K6-2/300, will be a K6-3/400 soon and i have 128mg RAM an its a Iwill XA100plus)

Are you using Win95 as your OS?

Did you remember to install the USB supplement? The USB supplement is essential to get AGP to work. Don't ask me why Microsoft decided to put the AGP support in the USB supplement.

Win98 automagically installs the usb supp.

i'm glad to see i'm not the only one that has had that problem. here's what to do to fix it. download the latest drivers and unzip them. when it comes up to detect new hardware, select specify a location. browse from C:\mgafold\w9x_541 and it should find the file. it may say something about the wrong driver, but install it anyways.
