Matrox G400MAX Freezing PC when shutting down

Hello Everyone,

I Just bought a G400MAX I have this configuration:

Aopen AX63PRO, latest BIOS from VIA
Pioneer DVD
IBM 13GB HD
G400MAX
Guilemot Maxi Sound Fortissimo SC
Swannsmart 56k PCI modem
128MB PC100 SDRAM
PIII 500Mhz

I have a problem when shutting down Win98SE the screen goes blank then comes back with the windows background with a frozen mouse pointer.

I have tried upgrading the G400 Bios from matrox, installed the 541 drivers, upgraded the Motherboard Bios from Aopen, installed the latest AGP drivers from VIA, Reinstalled Windows and tried to install G400 drivers.

I cannot play the Expendable demo on the CD that came with the card, or Descent 3. They both freeze while loading up.

I can play DVD's okay.

I have also tried to install DirectX 7.0

If anyone has some ideas it would be great.
