Why don't you read the manual first?
Possible connections (from highest to lowest quality)
    1. SCART RGB
    2. SCART differential
    3. S-video
    4. video (RCA jack)

You need to make a custom cable for 1. and 2.
Also, your TV set must support it...

Sorry, no manual when u buy OEM...
(That's the case if you want to get a G400 fast in Israel)
The S-video on the G400 seems different from the S-Video on my TV. On the TV I have S-video in and out with 4 pins each, the Matrox connector have more and with different arrangement.
My TV is 20 meters (60ft) from my PC, which connection is best for these lengths ?
      Thanks again.

        Hi Cloudy,

nice to have you back ...

Here's the link for a manual:
        http://www.matrox.com/mga/tech_supp/...illg400_en.pdf

and don't worry about 'only' having four pins ... that's is just right.

The other ones could be used for audio lines, but usually that's not supported by TVs.

Just grab any high quality S-VHS cable, plug in your adapter, establish audio and video connections to your TV/VCR and reboot.

Then enter your DH settings and enable whatever you want ...

        Cheers,
        Maggi

          Thanks !

I still didn't quite understand the different connector issue but I guess the cable will take care of that.

S-VHS needs 4 wires, one for luminance (light), one for chrominance (color) and two corresponding ground lines

they other thre wires could be used as left and right audio plus one ground line ...

The problem is that you'd need a 7 wire S-VHS cable and two adapters, because neither the G400 nor your TV supports it ...

Maybe it's just a left over from earlier days and Matrox wanted to make sure that you can use 7 wire cables without having to cut three pins.

            CU,
