  • G400 Max Final Flashing

After flashing my G400 Max. Now it able to detect the bios but still face the following 3 problems : -

    1) Message as follows : -

    Matrox G400 AGP
    VGA Disabled - BIOS V1.5

    * How do I enable the VGA and clear this problem ? In the system Bios VGA already "Enable".

    2) Message as follows : -

    Usage : probios [-i infile.ext]
    -i infile.ext = Upgrade BIOS with infile.ext

    * What is infile.ext ? Where can I get this file ?

    3) Message as follows : -

    VBExt not installed

    * How do I install this VBExt ?

Any kind soul can give some advise.

Try again to reprogramm your bios under windows by using 'UBiosWin.exe' ...

the 'install.exe' in the bios extraction-dir would install the VBext and thus add DOS mode support ...

Already tried three times in Windows mode and three times in DOS mode. Still having the same three problems as mentioned above. The bios can be program and over-write during each time of flashing.
Unluckier that when I first got my card I did not save up the default bios program or setting.
      Anymore further advise ?

        Try http://grafi.ii.pw.edu.pl/gbm/matrox/
It has informations and utilities on how to recover dead BIOS on G-series.
