  • Refresh rate problem...G400MAX and Diamondtron monitors

Any having refresh rate problems using G400 MAX with Diamondtron monitors? On my system, I can't set the refresh rate above 60Hz. For some reason Screen "shakes". Had a older Diamondtron monitor but had the same problems.

If anyone is using a Sony Trintron ot Mitsubishi Diamondtron, let me know how it's working for you.

I like to set my refresh at 85Hz... it's easier on the eyes.

Used Powerstrip, Matrox Power desk, and Windows display settings..... nothing seem to be working.

    I am currently have:
    Princeton C20001 (MAX RES 1600X1200 at 85Hx)
    P III 450
    Abit BE6

    HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!

Your problem has exactly nothing to the type of your picture tube. It's all in electronics. Try to check the cables, move the monitor away from power supplies/ transformers/ speakers/ motors etc.

Make sure that your monitor and PC are grounded identically. Get a surge protector strip and plug the monitor and PC into neighboring plugs.

I've had this problem before. It only affected my Mil I & any non-Matrox cards. With Mil II & G200 it did not have this problem, even though I knew that the ground was different.

This is somewhat off th e topic, but I can't even choose 85 Hz in Powerdesk, it stops at 75 Mz ???? If im not mistaken I could choose 85 before I reinstalled windows 98SE for a couple of days ago?!?

I know my monitor can take it cause I ran at 85 Hz with my Rage Fury card. Whats that all about?
