  • 3Dmark2000 and 5.50 drivers(beta) results..

I am very happy to say I installed the new beta drivers after using the powerdesk uninstaller(as usual) and went from 2597 to 2615 using 800x600x16 and not overclocking my card.So far I have found no problems with these drivers and the 3dmark2000 demo ran flawlessly including helicopter part. I also played mig alley(just got it) and the graphics are cleaner and better, tried janes ww2 with no probs, have yet to try drakan. Wishing now these would have come out one day sooner before I returned F/A 18 because of incompatibility probs with G400. Thank you for these new drivers and keep up the good work. Cheers

Not sure why, but now the helicoptor bit is working fine here, the only change is a reboot and now I'm overclocking the card again, which is counter intuitive.

Here are my results, seems AMD mode in 3DMark2000 is up to DX7 levels now, even faster now. The individual scores still show Dx7 with an advantage in some areas though.

Himself.. Just wanna check.. How is the drivers compared to the 5.41? Am an SS7 user here and had to drop back to using 5.30 coz of probs.

Just want to hear some feedback.

      Thanks.

        My older scores are here:
        http://home.thezone.net/~bm/3dmark2k.html

Basically DX7 mode is down 20 pts, AMD mode is up to my previous DX7 scores and now faster than DX7 mode in the new drivers. BUT, the individual scores show the same kind of trend, it's just a fluke of how 3DMark2000 measures it's final score that the tally is higher, the low detail helicopter score is still faster with DX7 mode than AMD mode, and where AMD mode is faster it is only a matter of .5 or so points. Looking at the other scores DX7 mode seems to be faster in general with the odd exception. Wierd results.
