  • C++ Runtime Error in 3Dmark2K FIXED!!!!

Well, sort-of. I emailed them about it, again, the other day and after getting more system specs for them, they suggested that I disable my modem. Well, I thought I'd humor them and IT WORKED!!!!!

YAAAAAYYYYY...I can run a benchmark now!!!

I don't know how I survived just playing games and not benchmarking.

Anyway, I was just dying to see this thing on my G400 and I'll have to say I wasn't disappointed. At least in the eye candy. My little Celeron 464 isn't quite up to the task. I got a 1559.

Well, I knew there were a few people on here that were having this problem, so I thoght I'd share. Andrei, I know was one of them.

My modem is an E-Tech 56kbps winmodem with a rockwell chipset. I don't know how this affects 3DMark2K, but I guess it does.

Good luck everyone. Hope it works for you.

    SWEET!

I downloaded the program about an hour after its release and I haven't been able to run it yet because of this problem. Now I'm going to disable the modem and see if it works!!

Thanks for passing the info on,

      BAH!

It didn't work. BTW, my modem is a Pace 56 Voice Internal. I even tried disabling the dial-up adaptor and my 3com 100mbit network card too. But I still got the same error as before. Since I downloaded the program, I've tried just about everything to get it to work. I think now is the time to delete the program before I waste more time on it.

Well, I didn't disable the dial-up adapter. I just disabled the modem itself and another entry for the modem called an "xxx enumerator" all in the device manager. Then rebooted. The program ran just fine after that.

I just got another e-mail from Madonion and they said they will be releasing a .dll update soon. Check the website for updates.

        Good luck.

I meant that I disabled the modem first, and after that didn't work, I also disabled the dial-up adaptor and the NIC. I suppose I'll have to wait for the updated .dll.

          Here's hoping...

            The Onion is Mad indeed

Disabeled the Rockwell PCI Modem Enumerator from device manager, HCFMODEM, wich automatically disabeled all the devices it was parent for, rebooted and it worked

            Thanks Paul
