  • Driver Problems

I'm quite new to Matrox's Graphic cards and have just spent £175 on a new G400 MAX, this works beautifully until I try to upgrade any of the drivers I have for it (I have to use the ones from the disk which came with it, display driver 4.11.01.1110), and the turbo GL drivers.
    This is the problem:
After using the uninstall program to remove my current drivers I restart the computer and install the newest one, then I restart again and this error message comes up when windows is opening...
"A fatal exception OD has occurred at
0337:00007D79. The current application will be terminated."
Then the screen goes black covered with white dots!!

Can any of you Hardware geniusses help me out??

      Hi:
It seems you normally have to go through two reboots to completely remove the old drivers. After the first reboot, install 'standard pci display adapter', then reboot when prompted, then install the new drivers with the matrox setup.

            In your motherboard's BIOS.

What IRQ is your G400 on? Is it sharing with anything?

Post your specs, please. It's hard to get an idea of what's happening with your system if we don't know anything about it.
