  • Linux and g400 max

    I am having problems with linux...
    could I somehow download those drivers
    in windows and then transfer them into linux...
    I really can't use linux in MCGA mode (too small) cause I dunno howto scroll the screen

    Yes you can because you can get Linux to read Dos partitions. Or you can zip the file across several floppies and then mount the floppy drive in lunix.
    I can't remember the command line for doing this but no doubt someone on this forum knows how to do this.

      Yup - you can save it to C:\Temp for example, and then in Linux, you mount the C: partition which is typically /dev/hda1 and then access the Temp directory on it.

      e.g.
      mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /mnt
      cd /mnt/Temp

      You system may already have the C: drive mounted - YMMV
