there's abox to be checked: 'Enable Overclocking'

then there's a slider for percentage-wise increment

Where exactly do you need help ???

I think so ...
My Vanilla runs at MAX speed and the gain is very noticable, especially in heavy action scenes, the slowdown are not as heavy as unOCed.

sorry for not answering your other question ...
I recommend to start with Matrox's OCer, as it is dead simple to use.
Once you become a bit more familiar with OCing in general, you might like to give MGAtweak a shot, 'cos it has more options to fiddle with and could give you better performance by SGRAM optimizations for example.

maggi sorry to bother you, can you describe how you attached your case fan and heat sink fan to your g400?
thanx in advance, cool pic you posted a while backP3 700Mhz cB0 stepping, G400MAX,Abit BE6-2 RV Bios,Quantum KX 7200 13Gig,256Mb 100SDram,Asuscom ISDN,SCSI 100Mb zip int,SB Live Value,Tosh 6702, HP 9110i.

hehehe ... I used superglue, because the big fan exceeds the measurement of my heatsink and for the small one on the backplate I didn't find any holes for using screws ...
...
I cannot really recommend which brand of fan to use, but make sure it doesn't use metal blades !!!!
(plastic blades will do it)

Hey Maggi,
Saw your pics last time, so I thought maybe I'll give it a try...check this out:
My Vanilla G400 Dual-Head
My OEM Vanilla G400 Single-Head
So....how'd I do?
Oh yeah, see that 4A thing in the part no? That's the one I ask previously and you say that it's the AGP4X version....

In my tweak utility, there is no boxes that can be checked for overclocking, overclocking the resolution and there is no slider for percentage.
Maybe were not talking about the same tweak utility, if so, where can find those boxes and if not, where did you download the tweak utility that your talking about?

Maggi, what's better - using the Matrox utility or the MGATweak utility. I'm using the Matrox util and overclock at 12.5%. Anything above 15% starts to mess the screen up. If I buy a fan what can I push it up to and is it really worth it in the fps department?

Hi Maggi,
For the DH, I can only set the FO to 300MHz. Any higher and I'll see all this lines across my screens.....
For the single head, the FO can go up to 307MHz. Any higher and I get the lines again.
Any recommendations???
