Hmmm.. did you try assigning another IRQ for your MPEG2 card... Although I never had any real problems with my G200 or G400's lots of people have solved their problems by playing around with IRQ's in Windows...
It seems Matrox cards are really touchy when it comes to IRQ sharing with other components.
One more thing... Who manufactures that card? Creative Labs? Because you mentioned you use Creative playcenter program...

    post back...

      Hi Luna...

Could you please post some more details (like what exactly happens, comp hard reset or what) and a list of your IRQ's would be appreciated...

      then you'll get help

The program "Creative Playcenter" does not see the decoder. The driver has risen normal. Win98 conflicts does not write.
        IRQ 11 - Matrox
        IRQ 11 - Decoder CT7160
        IRQ 5 and IRQ 9 - Yamaha 724
        IRQ 12 - Mouse PS/2

Other houses I shall look. But other videocard (Asus V3000ZX) works normal. With the same interruptions.

I have had one working, first thing don't let it share an interupt !!.
(you know the internal pass thru is not compatible with the g200)

Also it may be a good idea to go to the adaptec site and download the aspi32.exe program update your aspi layer(very important for scsi AND IDE DVD drives), because the creative dreivers have some old stuff which causes problems.

Are you using the original or latest drivers.
(go back to original ones if you have problems)

            For Goc:
Card is made by the Creative
            (http://support.soundblaster.com/specs/cdrom/interface/ct7160.html) in 1997. Chipset Luxsonor.

            For Marshmallowman:
for me it is necessary only TV-out the decoder. DVD-rom reads normal. The PC program plays back DVD, but the decoder may not use for playback DVD. The driver on a CD and on a site identical.

              Well Marshmallowman told you...

Move the decoder card to a free interrupt!
              Then post back what happened

              Bye

And how manually to change IRQ for G200. In Win98 IRQ parameters does not vary.

                  Luna

Try moving your MPEG card to another slot on the motherboard...

Has rearranged. Now began IRQ10. Result same... It May complex problem G200 and VIA MVP3? All patches VIA has put. Does not work!: (((

The same window occurs if Asus V3000 to switch in 32-b color. G200 switched in different resolution and in different quantity of colors - all the same does not work...

You mentioned you had an Asus V3000 Riva card. Are you sure you don't have some ASUS drivers still lurking in Windows?

Try downloading driver removing program in the download section of www.murc.ws and then reinstall drivers for G200 and your MPEG card...
                      Post back

I permanently use the program of deleting of old Matrox drivers. Asus I used on the other computer. Already then rearranged all different ways.
The most important question - only for me Millenium G200 does not work with CT7160 or it is a general problem?
