  • Running a G400 max at 124mhz FSB (82mhz for the vid card)

I'm just wondering because I have a P3 550E on the way and I want to try for about 682-733mhz, I have an Abit BE6 BX board. Has anyone ran their G400 max successfully with the agp bus at 82mhz or 89mhz with the card still staying intact and stable?

I've got my 550E FC-PGA running right now at 682Mhz, which is at 124Mhz bus speed. It seemed okay at 133Mhz bus speed, but I don't think it was 100% stable (that is the chip, not the G400MAX)

My G400max is rock solid on my 129mhz bus, and I have the max overclocked to 173/216. using stock heatsink and fan.

I've posted in detail elsewhere, so I'll keep this brief. My G400, which tops out at 146/183, is perfectly stable up to 138mhz fsb. At 140 it locks up when it's hit with 3d, but in 2d (i.e. no AGP) it's fine there as well. So, at least in my case, the limit for the AGP is 91mhz.
