  • Garbled screen in Windows 2000.

I am having some problems getting my G400 DH to function in Win2k pro(yeah, I know they are beta drivers). After installing the drivers, the screen becomes garbled(lines++), just after the login. It is almost like when you are using too high refresh-rate(which I have checked that I don't). The NT-drivers seem to work fine though, at least in 2D.
    Any ideas?

    My system:
AOPEN AX6C Pro II (millenium ed.)
    Celeron 366@550.
    128MB RAM
    G400 32MB DH
    SB Live player 1024
    KTI NIC

My IRQ-list(in norwegian, but you should get the general idea ).
    0 Tidtaker
1 Standard 101-/102-tasters tastatur, eller Microsoft Natural Keyboard
    2 Programmerbar avbruddskontroller
    3 (ledig)
    4 Kommunikasjonsport (COM1)
    5 Matrox Millennium G400 DualHead - English
    5 IRQ-holder for PCI Steering
    6 Standard diskettkontroller
    7 (ledig)
    8 CMOS/sanntidsklokke
    9 Creative SB16 Emulation
10 KF-230TX/2 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter
10 Intel 82371AB/EB PCI to USB universell vertskontroller
    10 IRQ-holder for PCI Steering
    11 Creative SB Live! Value
    11 IRQ-holder for PCI Steering
    12 PS/2 Compatible Mouse Port
    13 Matematikkprosessor
    14 Primær IDE-kontroller (dobbel fifo)
    14 Intel 82371AB/EB PCI Bus Master IDE-kontroller
    15 Sekundær IDE-kontroller (dobbel fifo)
    15 Intel 82371AB/EB PCI Bus Master IDE-kontroller

Forcing the G400 to IRQ 10 or higher did not help.
    Any help appreciated.

    Suggestion #1:

    Make sure you're using Win2k Final (2195).

    Suggestion #2:

Force ACPI. You'll need to modify a file (there are instructions elsewhere in here, run a search) and reinstall Windows.

    Suggestion #3:

Make sure you have the Matrox Beta 5.00.0x and not some earlier driver.

Then come back if it's still broken.

    I would still get screwed

Well, I am using Win2k final, and the latest drivers. Also tried reinstalling with ACPIEnabled=1, no difference. The funny thing is that everything is fine until I log in, then all hell breaks loose. This is with no apps. at all installed.
